One of the great prayers of the Bible is found in Exodus 33:13, where Moses prays,
“Let me know Your ways that I may know You.”
It’s interesting that he prays this after seeing tremendous miracles. The Red Sea has divided under his rod. God has provided water, manna and quail for the people in the wilderness. And yet Moses is saying, “I see Your mighty acts, but I want to know who You are.”
And it’s from the knowledge of Him that the mighty acts come. As Daniel 11:32 says,
“The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits” (NKJV)
So how do we come to know Him?
One of the best ways is to spend time alone with Him in your secret place each day. Read Scripture, then ask God to show it to you. How amazing to think that you can ask the Author of the Bible to come alongside you and explain His Word!
While you pray and meditate upon Scripture, ask God for revelations. As young Samuel said,
“Speak, for Your servant is listening” (1 Samuel 3:10)
And Jesus promises in John 10:27,
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
As you open up to heaven, heaven opens up in you. Don’t limit your access to God with anger or frustration. Pour out your problems to Him, then rest assured that He is able to take care of them all.
He wants you to be healed. He wants you to have righteousness, peace and joy. And He wants to reveal Himself to you in that secret place. God bless you.
